LADY MAKING GARLAND - PAINTING -2
In the given Painting, a Lady is shown making garland. This is known as third-eye painting, because tieing the flower garland needs intense concentration of the third eye (mind )
Now ,this has been known as a simple painting of Raja ravi varma, which has the Eastern tradition of Painting art. Raja ravi varma introduced the mural tradition of our nation in Oil painting based western style.Hence this analysis has to be best method from east and west .This is known as the third eye method of painting analysis.
Here in the third eye method, eye glance has to be in direct line with the painting reader and not inclined or top to down visibility line of vision. My view point of this picture is based on my own experience in rosary and garland making(tie). Here a simple mistake can spoil the entire hard work.Hence this work has been abandoned by many people in modern age.
Now ,here is the analysis. The rose coloured petals of flowers indicate the colour of India (the Jambu-dweepa island of the Puranas)Thus She is tieing our nation in one single way of devotion ,which is the path of love and surrender ( The Vana-mala in mural style indicates strong love )
Here is the final verdict. Raja ravi varma rose to fame by showing his ability in depicting Gold and royal necklaces in the right colour mix. This drawing adds LOVE as well to his lexicon of artistic strength in the right order of hierarchy as desribed in Hindu traditional literatures available at the time.
This means Hindu tradition has to be knit into one single garland of religious thoughts which point towards the Hindu art of Tantra ( the vermillion mix of pink indicates the water element in the swadhistana chakra above the root chakra of muladhara, which is the earth element. This indicates the Gandharva way (combination of water chakra and third eye) of waging a war against the enemies of our culture.
The Lady looks like the divine Mother Saraswati with prominent forehead.
